Bio

James Burgess is one of the most ubiquitous session drummers based in Birmingham and established his professional career aged 18 with Tom Walker and his blues trio, they had success on support tours with The Move and Paul Jones.

James graduated from the popular music course at Birmingham conservatoire with first class honours and began to pursue original music with his band Pleasure House where he earned his international touring stripes around Europe and the UK.

Nowadays James plays drums for country pop trio The Adelaids and singer-songwriter Joe Dolman, who have lead him to perform ay Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall and record in prestigious studios such as Maida Vale and the legendary Rockfield. He also records songs for artists such as Byron Langley and Hattie Briggs.

James has a great passion for music and drumming and finds great fulfilment in passing this knowledge onto others.
