Drums – Mike Coltman

Bio

Mike grew up in Burton on Trent playing for local bands since the age of 8 years old. One of his proudest moments of this time was winning a competition called ‘Music for Youth Battle of the Bands’ with his friends from school. This landed him a spot playing the School Proms at the Royal Albert Hall!

He then moved to Brighton in his late teens  to study drums at the British Institute of Modern Music, where he received a 1st class BA hons degree in professional musicianship. Alongside his degree He was also touring and doing regular studio sessions.

Since completing his degree he has worked as a full time drummer. From tutoring at universities, playing in jazz clubs, touring Europe with bands, and recording albums for up and coming artists. He has tried to say yes to anything and everything to help develop his versatility as a drummer.
