We have had the pleasure of working with Top of the Rock Tuition at both St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Whitnash and St Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary School in Warwick, and the impact has been truly exceptional. Delivering high-quality PPA cover in ukelele and one to one lessons in drums, guitar, piano and vocals, their team brings energy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for music into every lesson.

Led by the school co-ordinator, Josh, the tutors are not only highly skilled musicians but also excellent educators who engage and inspire pupils of all abilities. Lessons are well-structured, inclusive, and full of enthusiasm, ensuring that every child feels encouraged to participate and develop their confidence. It has been wonderful to see pupils grow in both skill and enjoyment, with many discovering a real love for music.

From an organisational perspective, the company is reliable, flexible, and easy to work with. Communication is always clear, and they consistently adapt to the needs of our schools. Their provision has significantly enriched our curriculum and supported our wider commitment to nurturing creativity and expression within a faith-based environment.

Dominic is an exceptional drum tutor! 🥁 If you are looking for top-tier drum lessons at Top of the Rock Tuition in Warwick, Dominic McAvera is the absolute best choice. His technical expertise, patience, and incredible energy makes learning easy. He tailors every single session beautifully to keep things engaging, encouraging, and focused on your goals. The only downside and as such I have 4 stars has nothing to do with Dominic himself—it is just that he has set the bar so high! On the rare occasions that he is away and a substitute teacher fills in, the lesson simply does not match the same standard. No one quite matches Dominic’s teaching skills and energy behind the kit. The tutors are welcoming, explain everything really well, and create a relaxed learning environment. Dom has a fantastic way of motivating and encouraging his students. My son genuinely looks forward to his lessons, enjoys practising at home, and has grown enormously in both confidence and ability. Dom has challenged him at the right pace, helping him achieve Grade 7 (merit) while ensuring that learning music remains enjoyable and not just focused on exams. Communication with the Top of the Rock team is excellent and they are always on hand to help and provide support. We get a regular (term) report on progress. He absolutely loves his lessons and has steadily improved. I work in a school where Connor teaches and all of the students who have lessons really look forward to them and I hear the improvement each term, which is fab! All of the teachers from Top of the Rocks that I have met have all been very personable, friendly, professional and above all else extremely talented and their enthusiasm is abundant and catching! After begrudgingly trying a number of different classes/clubs my ten year old has finally found something he clearly loves. He sprinted into his drumming lesson yesterday after looking forward to it all day. Kris and James (his teacher) are great guys. They are friendly, fun, enthusiastic and caring, as well as being very accomplished and professional. My son’s self-confidence has soared since he started playing and he’s making great progress. That has everything to do with his great tuition and the brilliant atmosphere at Top of the Rock! If you’re even contemplating drumming lessons, look no further. These guys are just brilliant.
