Drums – Billy Dunn

Bio

Billy has been playing drums for over 10 years now, developing his skills behind the drum kit and he still enjoys learning new things about his playing even now, whether that be working on new styles and genres or working on different aspects of his technique and playing. He loves the endless opportunities that drumming provides.

After graduating from Leeds Conservatoire in 2023, Billy has been teaching drums in schools in Leeds with Top of the Rock. Each lesson is different and crafted to meet the needs of the student. Whether that be learning their favourite songs, or working towards their grades he will try and think of enthusiastic and creative ways to teach.

Billy plays in projects that are Leeds based, most notably a group called “Aunty Freeda”. This folk inspired band allow Billy to be very creative with his drumming, you can check out a few of their songs on Spotify and keep an eye out for any gigs and future releases from these guys.

He has also gigged around the country with a band called “whobodyhow” playing festivals and in some very cool venues down in London. And as of late he has started to write and work with a couple of songwriters in Leeds so I’m sure you will be hearing more of Billy’s drumming soon.
