From the marching band rhythms of his Chester childhood, starting at age 12, to rocking out on a full kit by 15, drums have always been Jay Neve’s passion. Over the years, he’s played in local bands, even winning a Battle of the Bands and earning airtime on the radio. Now based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Jay brings that wealth of experience to his students, offering fun, engaging drum lessons for all levels—whether you’re picking up sticks for the first time or ready to tackle your favorite songs.

As a dedicated drum tutor, Jay’s teaching approach focuses on building solid technical foundations, fostering creativity, and tailoring each lesson to the individual. From beginner grooves to advanced techniques, his goal is to inspire and empower every student while making learning the drums an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

When he’s not teaching, Jay stays active in the local music scene—gigging, recording, and continually expanding his musical horizons.
