Every lesson is shaped around you. Your vocal coach will work with the music you enjoy, from pop and rock to musical theatre, R&B and beyond. There’s no set syllabus and no pressure to perform in any particular style. The focus is on helping you develop your voice in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

Learn with an Experienced Vocal Coach
Holly Rolfe teaches vocals at our Leeds studio. She’s a trained vocalist with over a decade of experience performing, learning and teaching, and she brings that real-world knowledge into every lesson. Whether you’re working on breathing technique, pitch control, vocal range or stage confidence, Holly will tailor each session to where you are and where you want to go.
Lessons cover everything from the technical side of singing (breath support, projection, pitch accuracy) to the performance side (interpreting a song, building confidence, using a microphone). If you want to work towards graded exams through Trinity or Rockschool, that’s an option too.
Our Singing Studio in Leeds
The Leeds studio at Swinnow Grange Mills has dedicated teaching rooms set up for effective vocal coaching, with quality equipment and good acoustics. It’s a comfortable space where you can relax, warm up your voice, and focus without distraction.
We’re easily accessible from across Leeds with free parking on site and a waiting area for parents. The studio is a short drive from Bramley, Pudsey, Horsforth, Kirkstall, and the city centre.
Singing Lessons for Children, Teens and Adults
For children and teenagers: singing is one of the best ways to build confidence. Your child doesn’t need to be ‘musical’ or have any experience at all. Lessons are fun, relaxed and built around the songs they actually want to sing. Plenty of our younger pupils started out feeling shy and now perform at our showcases in front of a room full of people.
For adults: it’s one of the most common things we hear: ‘I’ve always wanted to sing but never had the nerve.’ You’re not alone, and it’s never too late. Lessons are one-to-one, completely private, and there’s zero judgement. Your vocal coach will meet you exactly where you are and work from there.
More Than Music
Learning to sing does something that other instruments don’t always do in the same way. Because your voice is your body, singing lessons tend to build confidence, self-expression and emotional awareness alongside the musical skills. Parents often tell us their child is noticeably more self-assured after a few months of lessons, and our adult pupils regularly say that their weekly session is the best thing they do for themselves all week.
We also run regular showcases and performance events. Performing is entirely optional, but for pupils who want to take that step, it’s an incredible confidence boost.

What to Expect from Your First Singing Lesson
We get it. The idea of singing in front of someone can feel a bit nerve-wracking, especially if you’ve never had a lesson before. But within a few minutes of meeting your tutor and warming up your voice, most people are surprised by how relaxed it feels.
Your first lesson is free. You’ll have a chat about the kind of music you enjoy, do some gentle vocal exercises to get a sense of where your voice is at, and start working on a song. Your tutor will give you honest, encouraging feedback and help you understand what to focus on next.
You don’t need to prepare anything. Just turn up.

We offer 30-minute, 45-minute and 60-minute vocal lessons at competitive rates. Payments are spread across 12 monthly direct debits with no contracts and no penalties for cancelling. Your first singing lesson is completely free.

Our vocal coaches cover a wide range of styles including pop, rock, musical theatre, classical, contemporary and R&B. Lessons are shaped around the music you enjoy, so you’ll always be working on material that inspires you.
Can adults take singing lessons?
Absolutely. We teach all ages, from young children through to adults. If you’ve always wanted to sing but felt it was too late to start, that’s exactly the kind of thing our tutors hear all the time. No experience needed, no judgement, just a supportive space to find your voice.
Do I need any experience before starting?
None at all. Complete beginners are welcome. Your tutor will assess where you’re at in your free first lesson and build from there. Whether you’re just starting out or you already sing and want to develop your technique, lessons are tailored to you.
Will singing lessons help with confidence?
It’s one of the most common things we hear from pupils and parents. Learning to sing in a supportive, one-to-one setting builds real confidence, and that tends to carry over into other areas too. We also run regular showcases and events if you want to perform in front of an audience when you’re ready.
