Piano Lessons for All Ages and Abilities
Whether your child has been drawn to the piano or you’re an adult who’s always wanted to learn, our Leeds studio offers one-to-one piano lessons for all ages and experience levels. From your very first chords to more advanced repertoire, lessons are shaped entirely around you.
Your tutor will get to know the kind of music you enjoy and build lessons around it. If you love classical, that’s where we’ll start. If you’d rather play pop, jazz or film music, we’ll work with that instead. There’s no fixed curriculum. The lesson is yours.
And the first lesson is completely free. No commitment, no pressure. Just come along and play.
Learn Piano with Lilla Hall
Lilla is a Leeds Conservatoire graduate with a degree in Jazz Piano Performance and over five years of teaching experience. She’s also a gigging musician who has performed at festivals including Tramlines, We Out Here and Boardmasters, playing across styles from jazz and R&B to pop and hip-hop.
That breadth of experience means Lilla can teach well beyond the classical tradition. Whether you want to learn jazz voicings, pop chord progressions, or classical technique, she’ll tailor lessons to your interests and your pace.
Lilla is currently training as a music therapist alongside her teaching, which informs her approach to working with pupils of all ages, including those with learning differences or neurodiverse needs. She’s patient, inclusive, and passionate about making piano accessible to everyone.

Piano Lessons for Children, Teens and Adults
For children and teenagers: piano is one of the most rewarding instruments to learn. It builds coordination, concentration, and an understanding of music theory that transfers to everything else. Your child gets to choose the music they work on, and Lilla’s patient, encouraging approach makes lessons something they’ll genuinely look forward to.
For adults: it’s never too late. Whether you played years ago and want to pick it back up, or you’ve never touched a keyboard before, lessons are relaxed, personal and shaped around your goals. There’s no judgement and no fixed syllabus. Just one-to-one time with a tutor who’ll meet you where you are.

What to Expect from Your First Piano Lesson
Your first piano lesson is free. You’ll meet Lilla, talk about the kind of music you enjoy, and get playing straight away. She’ll get a sense of where you’re at and what your goals are, then put together a plan from there.
You don’t need to bring anything or have any prior experience. The studio has everything you need. Most people are surprised by how much they pick up in a single session.

What age can you start piano lessons?
We teach piano from age five through to adults of all ages. Whether your child is just starting out or you’re an adult picking up the piano for the first time, lessons are tailored to the individual.
Do I need my own piano at home?
It helps to have something to practise on at home, but it doesn’t need to be a grand piano. A basic digital keyboard is a great starting point and your tutor can advise on what to look for. For lessons themselves, the studio has everything you need.
Can I take graded piano exams?
Yes. Lilla can prepare you for graded exams through Trinity or Rockschool, which can count towards UCAS points for older pupils. Grades are entirely optional though. Many of our piano pupils learn just for the enjoyment of it.
